Maria Gemma Silva Ferrández is a third-year PhD Candidate in English at the University of Stirling, where she also completed her BA in English (2022) and Research Master’s degree (2023). Her area of expertise is the Romantic period, and her doctoral research explores the reception histories of Lord Byron and Walter Scott from the nineteenth century to the present. Her broader research interests include celebrity culture, the history of the book, and Gothic literature.
